SehatRecord Pakistan ("we", "us", or "our") operates the SehatRecord mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information when you use SehatRecord.
SehatRecord helps you store personal medical records such as doctor visits, prescriptions, lab reports, test results, and medicine reminders. Because this information is sensitive, we handle it with care and transparency.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Information we collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account information: phone number, password (stored in hashed form on our servers), and account identifiers.
- Profile information: patient name, relationship to the account holder (for example self, parent, or child), and profile settings such as language preference.
- Medical records you enter: doctor names, hospital or clinic names, visit dates, notes, test names, test values, medicine names, doses, schedules, and reminder settings.
- Files you upload: photos and PDFs of prescriptions, lab reports, and other medical documents attached to visits.
- Device and app data: device type, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and basic usage needed to keep the App working and secure.
- Local notifications: reminder schedules stored on your device to alert you about medicines. These reminders are processed on your device.
Sensitive data
Medical records are sensitive personal data. We only collect medical information that you or someone you care for choose to enter into the App. We do not access your phone contacts, SMS messages, or other apps without your permission.
The App may request permission to use your camera, photo gallery, or file storage so you can attach prescription and report files. You can deny these permissions, but some features may not work.
The App may request notification permission so medicine reminders can appear on your device.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Store, display, and sync your medical records across your devices when you are signed in.
- Send medicine reminders you configure.
- Provide English and Urdu language support.
- Keep the App secure, fix errors, and improve reliability.
- Respond to support requests you send to us.
- Comply with applicable law.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal or medical data.
We do not use your medical records for advertising.
We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. SehatRecord is a record keeping tool only.
How we store and protect data
Your records are stored on secure servers controlled by us and on your device for offline access. Data sent between the App and our servers uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
Passwords are not stored in plain text. We use industry standard hashing for account passwords.
Uploaded files are stored in protected storage linked to your account.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. We work to protect your data, but we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data sharing
We do not share your medical records with third parties for marketing.
We may share limited information only in these cases:
- With service providers who help us operate the App (for example hosting or infrastructure), under strict confidentiality obligations.
- When you choose to export or share a record using App features.
- When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users or the public.
- If our business is transferred, your data may be transferred as part of that process with continued protection under this policy.
Data retention
We keep your account and medical records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App.
If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable time, except where we must keep certain records for legal, security, or backup purposes for a limited period.
Files you uploaded may remain in secure backups for a short time before permanent deletion.
Your choices and rights
You can:
- View and edit your medical records inside the App.
- Turn medicine reminders on or off.
- Switch between English and Urdu at any time.
- Export or share records when the App provides those features.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and data by contacting us.
- Uninstall the App at any time. Local data on your device may remain until you clear app data or remove the App.
Guest mode
The App may allow limited use without signing in (guest mode). Data entered in guest mode is stored on your device. To save visits to the cloud and sync across devices, you must create an account.
Children's privacy
SehatRecord is intended for users who can manage their own account or act as a caregiver for a family member. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without parental or guardian involvement.
If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
International users
SehatRecord is designed for users in Pakistan. If you access the App from another country, your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country. By using the App, you consent to this processing.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
Your continued use of the App after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
